As a Queensland Rail trainee, you will be 'hands-on' from day one. Your day could consist of:
- Managing large inventory control systems
- Administering human resource policies and procedures
- Ensuring passenger trains are clean and well presented
- Maintaining safe working infrastructure such as mechanical signalling equipment.
- Managing network control systems
- Driving passenger trains
- Overseeing passenger safety on suburban trains
- Reducing fare evasion on suburban trains
- Providing on board service to passengers on travel trains.
Queensland Rail has a range of traineeships on offer, to both men and women, in a variety of locations throughout Queensland.
As a Queensland Rail trainee, you will participate in a structured training program and will be provided with ongoing support and encouragement for the duration of your traineeship.
