Crosses' Level Crossing Safety Campaign June 2012
Last year there were 472 reported near misses at Queensland Rail level crossings. The difference between a near miss and a fatality can be a fraction of a second. In some cases it is only luck that has saved a life.
Queensland Rail has launched a hard-hitting campaign that aims to draw attention to the dangers and potentially serious consequences of taking risks at level crossings. The ‘crosses’ in the advertisements represent near misses that have occurred at level crossings, and highlights the fact the outcome of those near misses could have been dramatically different - and potentially disastrous.

Etiquette Campaign
As part of Queensland Rail's commitment to improving the comfort of our customers, we’ve released an etiquette campaign to address the top 15 behavioural issues our customers experience on the City network. It tackles onboard issues such as feet on seats, priority seating, littering, eating, standing aside to allow others to disembark, noisy behaviour and bags on seats and in walkways, amongst others.
