As the state of Queensland continues to grow, Queensland Rail is committed to adapting our infrastructure to fit with our state’s changing lifestyle.
Queensland Rail is undertaking the biggest upgrade of South East Queensland's train stations since services began in the 1860s.
Around 50 of the most heavily patronised stations - almost one-third of all our train stations - will receive some form of upgrade in the $200 million station upgrade program.
These upgrades will ensure that train stations are better equipped to meet the needs of the 65 million passengers Queensland Rail carries each year. The station upgrades will deliver increased levels of safety, security and convenience for customers.

We have recently upgraded several of our stations, with more to follow over the coming months.
Here is a summary of some of our current projects:
Station Car Park Upgrades
The Queensland Government, through the TransLink Transit Authority, is making public transport easier to catch with the upgrade of a number of station carparks including:
- Bald Hills Station
- Bray Park Station
- Burpengary Station
- Dinmore Station
- Morayfield Station
- Ormiston Station
This project will improve station parking facilities, allowing you to park your car and transfer to a nearby train service to complete your journey.
