Queensland Rail is replacing the timber rail bridges at German Creek, near Toowoomba and Kings Creek, near Clifton. These bridges are a part of a wider program of timber rail bridges Queensland Rail is replacing across the network, including in the West Moreton region. Under this program, ageing timber rail bridges will be replaced with steel and concrete structures.
Construction works for both rail bridges commenced in April 2016. The replacement of the rail bridge at German Creek will take place from 6am Monday 10 October to 6pm Tuesday 11 October. The replacement of the rail bridge at Kings Creek will take place from 6am Monday 10 October to 6pm Thursday 13 October.
Construction impacts may include night works, vehicle movements and noise. Nearby residents will be provided advance notice of any out of hours works.
