Maryborough Area system 

The Maryborough Area system is located in South East Queensland, stretching from Kingaroy in the south to Graham in the north, from Monto in the west to Hervey Bay in the east. The system caters for general freight traffic.

The Maryborough Area system comprises a number of branch lines that junction with the North Coast Line at Theebine, Mungar, Maryborough West, Colton and Gladstone. At Graham, the system joins the Moura system to give access to Gladstone and port facilities.

System maps divide Queensland Rail's network into four sections - North, South, South-East and Brisbane Metropolitan. Line diagrams detail distances, number of tracks, the type of infrastructure (eg. private sidings) and stations. In accordance with Queensland Rail's Access Undertaking the line diagrams are updated at intervals of no greater than six months.
