The Cleveland line runs east from Brisbane on the south of the river for 35.90 kilometres to Cleveland, the gateway to Moreton Bay. The standard gauge line that runs from south of the NSW border up through Acacia Ridge and connects to the Cleveland corridor at Park Road. It then branches off from the Cleveland line at Lytton Junction were it heads to the Port at Fisherman Islands.

System maps divide Queensland Rail's network into four sections - North, South, South-East and Brisbane Metropolitan. Line diagrams detail distances, number of tracks, the type of infrastructure (eg. private sidings) and stations. In accordance with Queensland Rail's Access Undertaking the line diagrams are updated at intervals of no greater than six months.
