The Shorncliffe line runs northeast from Brisbane to Shorncliffe for 23.45 kilometres. The Northgate to Shorncliffe portion solely runs Queensland Rail City and Passenger Charter services.
System maps divide Queensland Rail's network into four sections - North, South, South-East and Brisbane Metropolitan. Line diagrams detail distances, number of tracks, the type of infrastructure (eg. private sidings) and stations. In accordance with Queensland Rail's Access Undertaking the line diagrams are updated at intervals of no greater than six months.
