Queensland Rail offers private train charters across our South East Queensland Rail Network. With a variety of services from catering, entertainment to theming ideas, you will be sure to impress. Wether you require a charter as a mode of transport or want to hold your event on one of our trains, we can assist with your event needs.
We can cater to groups of any size, with a range of fleet options. Our services include tailoring an individualised itinerary, conduct meet and greets and on board customer service staff presence. Price start around $35 per person for a return trip to the Gold Coast for 100 people.

Entertainment and Theming
From DJ’s to bands and roving performers, entertainment can be arranged as guests arrive on the platform awaiting departure, why not extend the entertainment on board?
Carriages and some platforms can be personalised with corporate branding or themed to suit your event. Whatever the occasion; product launches, cocktail receptions or sporting, Queensland Rail can help make your event memorable.
Catering
Our in house catering department offers pre departure drinks and canapés to on board food and beverage catering packages.
From lunch packs and morning teas for conference groups to canapés and beverages for evening events, Queensland Rail can tailor packages to suit your event requirements.
We also work closely with external caterers and other suppliers to provide you with additional resources you may require to plan your event at your chosen location.
To give an indication of price, a city loop cocktail reception for 100 people would start around $65 per person.
Venues
Looking for a venue? Queensland Rail has a range of CBD platforms and stations; we can even suggest suburban locations and parklands that best suits your event.
We can assist with the event coordination of your event, offering not only transport solution but also venue/event location, catering and entertainment options, through our close working relationships with suppliers.
Planning
The Event Management team will cover all aspects of the proposed journey; from the best route to your chosen venue or location, to managing the group on arrival at stations. Where the train can’t take you we can coordinate buses to convey your guests to the chosen destination.
From Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and back down to the Gold Coast, Queensland Rail will transport your guests to venues such as Dreamworld, Seaworld, Doomben & Eagle Farm Racecourse, RNA showgrounds, Suncorp Stadium, Skilled Park and South Bank just to name a few.
