Queensland Rail provides SMS and email updates for all train services. We call this service 'eRail'. eRail is a service that, once registered, informs you when train services have been delayed, disrupted or cancelled by more than 15 minutes via text message to your mobile phone or via email to your nominated email address. Queensland Rail provide this service 24 hours, 7 days a week and do not currently charge for the service.
How to use eRail
- Visit eRail and complete the required details.
- A confirmation SMS and email will be sent to you further confirming your registration to keep for your records.
- You must reply ‘ok’ to the SMS to confirm your mobile phone registration.
- You need to click on the link provided in the confirmation email to confirm your email registration. By doing this you will be taken to the journey planner for you to nominate your line of travel, your departure and arrival stations and the times you usually travel.
- Once your journeys are configured and saved, an SMS and email will be sent to you containing your journey selection information for your records.
- You are now ready to receive eRail Updates.
