| What is a berth? Should I book one? |
|
A berth is another name for a bed. If you are travelling overnight on The Sunlander, Spirit of the Outback, Inlander or Westlander you may prefer to travel in a berth instead of a seat. The Tilt Trains only have seats available.

| Can I take my pet? |
|
No. For the safety and comfort of all customers, animals are not permitted on any Queensland Rail Travel service with the exception of authorised guide, hearing and assistance animals that have pre-approved bookings in place.

| What concession cards are accepted on Queensland Rail long distance services? |

Queensland Rail support a range of concession entitlements including:
- Queensland Resident Pension Concession Card
- Australian Pensioner Concession Cards (other Australian States)
- Australian Government Senior Card (including Queensland)
- Queensland Government Seniors Business Discount Card
- National Australia Seniors Card
- New Zealand Senior Card
- International Backpacker Card
- Australian Resident Backpacker Card
- Full-time Queensland Student Cards
- International Student Cards (ISIC or ISE)

| What is my membership number? |
|
If you have purchased a ticket using the online booking service, you will be issued with a membership number and a password. You can also use your email address in place of your membership number to log into your account. Once logged in you can view your current bookings as well as make new bookings.

| What kind of food is available onboard? What if I have special dietary needs? |

| What methods of payment are accepted onboard? |

Queensland Rail travel accept the following onboard payment methods:
- Cash ($AUD)
- Traveller's cheques ($AUD)
- MasterCard
- Visa Card
- Debit Cards
EFTPOS and Scheme or Gift cards are unable to be used for purchases onboard.

| Do you guarantee connections between services? |
|
Connections to services of other operators (e.g. Countrylink, Greyhound) are not guaranteed. Most coach connections operated by Queensland Rail are guaranteed. If you have a question on a particular connection please contact us and we will advise whether it is guaranteed.

| When do I need to be at the station for my car to be loaded on to the train? |
|

| Is it safe to use my credit card online? |

It is safe to use your credit card to book your travel using our online booking system. However if you make a reservation via email we request that you do not email your credit card details to us to pay for your booking.

| I've booked online - where is my booking? |
|
If you have booked and paid online, you can login your account using your email address/membership number and password. From there you can view any current bookings that you have made.

| Can I change my booking online? |
|
If you have booked and paid online, you can login your account using your email address/membership number and password. Once logged in you can cancel your booking if required. If you would like to change your travel date or make any other changes, please call us on 1300 131 722 or 61 7 3235 1122 from 7am to 7pm AEST daily.
