What better way to experience these legendary destinations than by rail on The Spirit of the Outback, where you can see the landscape up close and take the time to admire its untamed beauty.
Enjoy 24 hours of relaxed pleasure that transports you over 1,300 kilometres from Brisbane to Longreach, gateway to the Australian Stockmans Hall of Fame, the Qantas Founders Museum and the Outback Heritage Centre.
For our Economy Class customers there's a great value selection of take-away options in the Club Car.
All meals will be included in the fare for a First Class single or twin sleeping berth, while these guests will also be given exclusive access to the restaurant and lounge cars. Your First Class outback experience wouldn't be complete without authentic dining, and youll find true Queensland tucker in the dining car. Also get to know your fellow travellers, and perhaps a local or two, in the Lounge Car which offers a full selection of drinks and refreshments.

Acommodation types
First Class Single sleeping berth |
- Consists of a single bed for one person, or one adult sharing with a child under four years.
- Each cabin contains a wardrobe, power point (240 volt AC) and a washbasin with a vanity mirror.
- The berth has a reading light, pillow, top and bottom sheet, blanket and towel.
- Half of the single berths face the direction of travel and the remaining face in reverse.
- Meals are inclusive
- Exclusive access to the Restuarant car and Lounge car

- Consists of two bunk style beds.
- Each bed can be sold individually to persons of the same gender, or as an entire cabin to a couple or small family group.
- Each cabin consists a table, two wardrobes, full length mirror, power point (240 volt AC) and a washbasin with vanity mirror.
- The berths have a reading light, pillow, top and bottom sheet, blanket and towel.
- All Twin sleeping berths face the direction of travel.
- Meals are inclusive
- Exclusive access to the Restuarant car and Lounge car

- Consists of three bunk style beds.
- Each bed can be sold individually to persons of the same gender, or as an entire cabin to a party or family group.

- A reading light, pillow, lower and top sheet, blanket and towel are also provided for each berth.
- All Triple sleeping berths face the direction of travel.

- All economy seating carriages are open saloon cars with overhead luggage racks and individual reading lights.
- The comfortable seats may be reclined to the desired position by pressing a button in the arm rest. A fold down table and foot rest is provided however pillows and blankets are not provided.
- All economy seating face the direction of travel.
