The Fraser Coast region encompasses the areas of Fraser Island, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Tiaro and the Great Sandy Strait. The mild year-round climate means visitors can enjoy a subtropical haven. The diverse Fraser Coast region provides the opportunities for whale and bird watching, 4WD, fishing, retail therapy and a variety of adventure activities.
The Sunshine Coast offers a wide variety of quality tourism and leisure products ranging from coastal beaches and waterways to scenic hinterland areas, national parks, world-class resorts, quality restaurants and several built attractions.
The Sunshine Coast is located 100 km north of Brisbane and incorporates the beach side towns of Caloundra, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Coolum, Noosa and Cooloola Coast. The region extends from the Glass House Mountains in the South, including the northern portion of Bribie Island, to the Cooloola region north of Noosa Heads and west to Kenilworth, the Mary Valley and Blackall Range
