Why do I need to supply my client’s mobile phone, home phone and e-mail address details?
Queensland Rail has a legal obligation at the time of booking to record customers personal contact details which will be used in emergency situations only e.g. disruptions to services due to flooding, please ensure you have these details ready to give to the reservations consultant at the time of booking.

Why do I need to supply an emergency contact for my client travelling on a rail sector
Queensland Rail has a legal obligation at the time of booking to record customers personal contact details which will be used in emergency situations only e.g. if your client has a medical condition and we need to know more information regarding this, usually the nominated person would be able to assist if required.

I have made a booking and received a PNR (passenger name record), does that mean this is now confirmed?
No, your booking is not confirmed until you have received an e-ticket from Queensland Rail. It is important to call back, quote your PNR and arrange payment before the ticketing deadline to ensure that your booking stays live in our system. You will be given a Financial Transaction Record (confirmation number) from reservations as validation your booking is complete.

Can I put a particular sector on waitlist?
Yes, waitlists can be requested for motorail, economy sleeping berths, roomettes, twinettes and Queenslander Class on a particular sector. If the waitlist is successful Queensland Rail will contact the client directly to confirm this waitlist, if you would prefer that we contact you first, please request that the reservations consultant adds your name and office phone number into the booking.

What information do I need to provide to make a reservation?

What’s a concession and can my client get one?
If your client is an Australian citizen, Queensland Rail offers subsidised travel for certain members of the community including pensioners, seniors, students and children. For further details on what’s required to qualify for a discounted fare please refer to the Australian Based page.

What is a TTCO?
TTCO is an acronym for Train Travel Channel Organisation, when you become an accredited agent with Queensland Rail, we will supply you with an Agency Reference Number and refer to it as your TTCO number, please always have it at the ready when you are making a reservation.
