Improved data tracks trains in real-time

​Queensland Rail has flicked the switch on improved real-time location information via the MyTrankslink app for train services across the South East.

By increasing the number of check points across the network almost sixfold – which feed train location information directly into the MyTransLink app – customers will have more accurate and timely travel information right at their fingertips.

The improved software now taps into data from 2,650 check points across the network, rather than the previous 447, providing a much smoother transition on the app as trains progress through their journeys.

The MyTransLink app is available free to download from the App Store and Google Play.
