Queensland Rail in partnership with RizeUp Australia is again hosting the state’s largest gift appeal to spread some festive joy to families impacted by domestic and family violence.
From 12 November until 24 December, customers can drop into their local train station, donate a gift and help make a difference in the lives of a family that has experienced domestic or family violence.
This year, organisers are hoping to collect more than 5,000 gifts these holidays for families in need, after customers dug deep and donated more than 3,000 gifts in 2017.
Queensland Rail will also help distribute gifts to communities across Queensland aboard its Traveltrain services.
How to donate a gift
You can drop off gifts at any attended train station in South East Queensland during opening hours or at designated collection points at Central and Roma Street stations during peak travel periods.
The Central station collection point will be located at the station’s concourse, with the Roma Street collection point located at the Roma Street-side fare gates.
Gifts can include everything from vouchers to new games and toys.
For safety reasons, we ask that gifts be unopened and unwrapped.
