Milton subway upgrade

The Milton subway will be upgraded between June and September.

Queensland Rail is working to improve the subway at Milton station to make it safer for customers and the local community.

Milton station is one of the busiest hubs on the South East Queensland network, serving thousands of customers each day, in addition to large influxes of people who travel to nearby Suncorp Stadium for special events.

Project update

Between June and September 2019, we will upgrade the subway under the rail corridor by installing new floor, wall and ceiling surfaces, as well as new lighting, tactile ground surface indicators and stairs to platforms 2 and 3.

Keeping you informed

The majority of works will be completed during the day, however night works may be required at times, which will be notified in advance. Residents near the site may experience noise and/or vibration during construction works.

At times, this work will involve the use of loud, heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders and trucks with horns, bright flashing lights and reversing beepers.

We may need to partially close the footpath on Park Road near the rail bridge at points throughout construction, with access maintained at all times.

We thank our customers and the local community for your patience during works.
