Queensland Rail is replacing four timber piers at the Moores Creek rail bridge on the Yeppoon branch line in North Rockhampton.
The aging timber piers will be replaced with more durable steel piers that will greatly improve the lifespan of the bridge and reduce ongoing maintenance.
Construction work is scheduled from mid July to October 2016, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Piling works are expected to occur over three weeks commencing in late July, weather permitting.
Safety is our number one priority. In order to provide a safe work environment for workers and the community, public access to areas near the construction site will be restricted.
We will endeavour to minimise disruption to surrounding residents and the community during construction activities.
