Maintenance works

To ensure that we deliver a safe and reliable service for our customers, it is essential that we undertake regular maintenance of our network. It is often necessary for these maintenance works to be performed out of standard working hours (between 6.30pm and 6.30am Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday) when trains are not running or during a scheduled track closure to minimise disruption to our customers and ensure the safety of our staff and customers.

Where works are scheduled to be carried out after-hours, Queensland Rail endeavours to notify residents in the vicinity at least seven days prior to works commencing. However, this may not always be possible due to weather impacts or emergency works. All notifications of upcoming work are currently delivered to residents within 250m of the work zone, and are made available under the corresponding line below (you can access the network map if you are unsure of which line to choose). Customers can also elect to receive these notices via email by signing up for email notifications.

It is recommended you bookmark this page, and check back regularly if you live near the rail corridor.
