Buying from us
Periodically, Queensland Rail disposes of assets that are surplus to operational requirements.
Office equipment, general goods, plant, and machinery are disposed of through competitive sale processes such as public auctions in Brisbane and Townsville or at various other locations as and when required. Other surplus assets including scrap materials, sleepers, rollingstock, wagons, locomotives, and rail equipment are sold via a public tender process. For some items, Queensland Rail may also negotiate sales directly with buyers or offer items for sale at fixed prices.
For further information please contact the below disposal providers or email
disposals@qr.com.au.
Motor vehicles, plant and equipment
