Screen customisation
You may want to customise your experience by changing the computer setup. This could be changing the font size, the contrast between colours, or using additional assistive technologies such as screen readers.
Videos
The website uses a video player called Able Player. Able Player supports text-based audio descriptions using the speech output capabilities of modern web browsers. It automatically pauses the video as needed to make room for the audio description.
Accessibility user controls are available at the bottom right corner of the video player, you can turn on the caption with the "CC" button, and the "D)))" turns the audio descriptions on and off. The button to the right that looks like a document (
) turns the text transcript on and off.
Other user preferences such as changing caption font or size, switching to full-screen view, showing transcript, keyboard preference, and adjusting volume are also available.
Documents
We have made files available to download in a variety of formats. The most common are: Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx), and Microsoft Excel (.xls and .xlsx).
If you are unable to open these types of documents, please download and install the latest versions of the free viewer software and online apps:
We are working towards improving the quality of our PDF files on the website to ensure accessibility features are added to each file including:
- correct reading order
- alternate text for embedded images
- correct title
- tagging
- bookmarks.
If you come across any document that is not accessible, please contact us so we can provide you with an alternative version.
Business to Business documents
This website contains a range of business to business (B2B) documents that are not designed for general public or commuter use. These documents are primarily intended for specialist audiences such as industry partners, access seekers, contractors, developers, suppliers, and government stakeholders.
Due to the technical, complex, and data heavy nature of these documents, many of which are governed by regulatory, operational, contractual, or statutory requirements, it may not always be reasonably practicable to make all content fully compliant with digital accessibility standards.
Queensland Rail is committed to accessibility across its digital services. Where a document is not fully accessible, we will use reasonable endeavours to provide accessible alternatives or assistance upon request. If you experience difficulty accessing any content on this website, please contact us using the details provided below, and we will work with you to supply the information in an alternative format where reasonably practicable.

- Access Undertaking documents that set out the terms and conditions under which Queensland Rail provides access to its rail infrastructure
- Master Train Plans providing system level operational and capacity information relevant to access seekers
