Queensland Rail is wrapping up its 160th birthday celebrations with the inaugural Santa Steam Express — a festive steam train experience and community celebration at Roma Street Station.
On Sunday, 30 November 2025, platform 3 will come alive with entertainment, excitement, and the nostalgic charm of a heritage steam locomotive, offering the opportunity to enjoy one of three special trips aboard our iconic BB18¼ engine, affectionately known as 'Bety'.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Mater Little Miracles, part of the Mater Foundation, helping deliver joy, hope, and vital support to families of babies cared for in the Neonatal Critical Care Unit at Mater Mothers’ Hospital in South Brisbane.
