Projects and improvements

Queensland Rail's network is evolving and expanding to meet current and future demand for rail services. Working with the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Translink, the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority and other partners, we are improving infrastructure to deliver safer, more accessible, and more reliable services for all customers. View our Projects page for details about current initiatives.

Stations projects

With more than 180 stations throughout Queensland, we are working to enhance accessibility and modernise many stations to meet the needs of all customers. This includes the installation of lift-accessible footbridges, raised platforms, and upgrading of essential facilities.
