North Coast line platform upgrades

Queensland Rail will invest $4 million to upgrade the platforms at Cooran, Pomona and Eumundi on the North Coast line. 

Eumundi

Queensland Rail will upgrade and modernise the platform at Eumundi station to improve facilities for customers. Early works began in May, and the majority of work will take place between June and December 2019. The upgrade will see the platform move slightly to the north and introduce a new accessible ramp, as well as improved lighting and security.

Pomona

Work on the new platform at Pomona is nearing completion, and will include additional features such as soft landscaping, a heritage seat and plaque, new entry signage and a disability parking bay.

​Cooran

The platform upgrade at Cooran station is now complete and includes a new high level platform structure, new waiting shelter, new platform markings and upgraded lighting and security cameras.
