Rail has been working to upgrade the facilities at Central station, making them
more reliable for customers.

lighting, fans, cladding, painting and the replacement of roof sheeting above
the outer concourse.
1 October, the escalators between the outer concourse and Anzac Square Arcade
will be taken out of service for approximately four months while both
escalators are replaced. The upgrade will improve the safety and reliability of
these facilities for our customers.

crane lifting activities (on the weekends of 30-31 October and 13-14

Street station and seek assistance from station staff.
the weekend of 13-14 November, there will be a track closure in place between
Bowen Hills and Albion to Corinda, Lindum and Yeerongpilly stations. Alternate
transport will be in place during this time.
The next phase of work will involve upgrading the station's outer concourse lift (Ann Street) and the lift on platform 5/6.
