Disclosure log

Under the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld) (RTI Act), documents released by a government agency or Minister in response to a formal Right to Information (RTI) access application may be published on a disclosure log.

Disclosure logs are designed to:

  • Reduce duplicate requests for the same information
  • Promote transparency in government operations
  • Improve public access to documents held by government agencies

Simplifying access to information through a disclosure log reinforces the principle that formal RTI applications should only be submitted as a last resort.
