Authorised health professionals are appointed and authorised by accredited rail organisations to conduct health assessments for workers who perform rail safety work, in line with the procedures contained in the national standard for health assessment of rail safety workers.
Contractors working in the rail corridor or performing safety critical work must pass a health assessment as per the national standard for health assessment of rail safety workers to confirm they are fit to do such work.
To determine the appropriate level of health assessment required please see the information sheet below and discuss with your Queensland Rail contract manager.
Queensland Rail do not accept responsibility for any payment of contractor health assessments or pathology.
