The Central West system is over 780 km long and adjoins the Aurizon Blackwater system at Emerald. The system runs from Emerald to Hughenden via Longreach and Winton. Products carried through the system are grain, livestock and containerised freight.
The Spirit of the Outback long distance passenger service runs between Brisbane and Longreach.
