Queensland Rail’s regional network spans more than 5,700 kilometres of track and eight rail systems that carry passenger and freight services across the state. In 2018-19, over 15 million tonnes of freight were moved on the Queensland Rail network. Queensland Rail works with train operators and end customers to provide cost effective, supply chain solutions for moving freight by rail. We also provide access for passenger trains including heritage train operators.
